Revolution 2018 beauty advent calendar- review

Image
Hello everyone, Today I wanted to do a review on a beauty advent calendar I had this year. I did a similar post to this last year and it seemed to go down quite well, so I thought I would do it again. The Revolution calendar was probably one of the best I have tried. The products were reasonable sizes and were very inclusive which I really liked. The calendar was 25days and on the 25th day I got a full sized eyeshadow palette. All other days were mini sized products. However, they were all of moderate size in my opinion. The lipsticks were full sized and the shades were all gorgeous. This calendar retailed for around £30 which I thought was a very reasonable price considering the quantity and quality of the products. Inside this calendar I received a full sized eyeshadow palette on the 25th of December and a mini eyeshadow palette. The main thing besides the quality of the shadows within these palettes, was how inclusive they were. The palettes were fairly neutral especiall...

Scoliosis: How to improve your flexibility

Image
Hello everyone, I haven't posted anything to do with scoliosis for a while now and I wanted to share some new information regarding scoliosis flexibility. As scoliosis curvatures progress many patients begin to lose flexibility. However, there are simple ways to regain this movement through light exercising such as yoga and Thai chi. These slow yet core building exercises help to contract and relax the muscles more frequently helping with movement and strength. They allow for muscles in the back to be stretched. However, spinal fusion surgery the main treatment for scoliosis correction limits flexibility and muscle movement in the back. The rods and bolts hold the spine in a fixed position enabling correction but this does mean that movement is reduced. Exercising and stretching can help to regain some of the previous muscle memory.  Spinal fusion has been proven time and time again to be very effective but the reduction in mobility is still prominent. There is a clinic ...

Juvia's place mini magic eyeshadow palette- review

Image
Hello everyone, Today I am going to be reviewing the magic palette by Juvia's place. This palette is very vibrant and has a wide range of variety and colour selection. I wanted to both purchase and review this palette due to the hype surrounding Juvia's place. It has definitely lived up to my expectations. Pigmentation - the pay off from these shadows is amazing. They blend seamlessly and the longevity is really good. These eyeshadows are of the quality of some of the high end shadows I have previously tried. Despite the vibrant colour palette these colours can be very complementary to one another. There are a number of both matte and shimmer shadows. The mattes are highly pigmented. The shimmers are vibrant and add that something special to an eye look. The top two rows are warm toned shadows and the bottom two rows are cool tones. This even mix makes the palette great for experimental people and also universally inclusive. Due to the shade selections these shadow...

Hello everyone, For my birthday this year I was taken to London to see a Wicked the musical. I have wanted to see Wicked for a while now and I was so excited to see it. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. I had never been to London and I was also really excited to see the hustle and bustle of united kingdoms capital. I loved every minute of being in London and so I thought I would do another photography travel post for you guys.                                                       View from the top of the Tate gallery.                                                  View from the top of the Tate gallery                             ...

Testing Barry M!

Image
Hello everyone, It was recently my birthday and I received some Barry M products. I have tried a few things from Barry M before, but it was a long time ago. So I thought I would do a review on the products I received to refresh my own memory and to see if Barry M is any good. On first impressions I really liked the packaging, it’s both unique and pretty yet functional. Barry M Unicorn primer drops - The unicorn primer drops really intrigued me I hadn’t tried anything like that before and I was pleasantly surprised. When I applied the drops they smelt like exotic fruits which I really like and they made my skin feel refreshed and a little tacky to help the makeup go on and stay put much nicer. Barry M Holographic lip topper - I have used the Barry m holographic lip topper a few times now and I really like it. Some holographic products are too holographic to even wear and look nice. However, this lip topper is just the right balance of holographic which I really like. It me...

Jaclyn Hill X Morphe - Ring The Alarm eyeshadow palette review

Image
Hello everyone, I have been watching Jaclyn Hill on YouTube for a while now and I love the looks and the reviews she does. So, when I found out that she was releasing her own palettes with Morphe for the second time, I knew I had to have one. I was actually going to purchases one myself. However, it was recently my birthday and I was kindly gifted one from my friends and I absolutely love it.  I was so excited to try this palette out for you guys and it didn't disappoint. The pigmentation is really good and the shadows blend beautifully on the eye. This palette retails for only £15 in the UK and it definitely looks much more luxurious than the price tag. The general colour theme of the palette is warm tones. There are several red and brown themed shadows which complement each other perfectly.                              Swatches of from the top row of the palette in natural day light. ...

Testing Wet n Wild makeup!

Image
Hello everyone, When I found out that Wet n wild were coming to the uk I was really excited. I was constantly hearing American YouTubers talk about how amazing their products are and I was intrigued to try them out myself! They are currently available in the uk on beauty bay and their prices are really reasonable. I picked up a couple of things to try out, and I wanted to let you all know my thoughts and opinions. Wet n wild colour icon eyeshadow palette in rose in the air -  The Wet n wild eyeshadow palettes looked gorgeous online and I was intrigued to try one out. I chose rose in the air due to the warm tones. This palette also reminded me of the ABH modern renaissance eyeshadow palette, but a much cheaper alternative. The pigmentation and blend ability of this palette is really good. There was minimal fall out and the longevity of the shadows is amazing.  Here are some swatches of the Wet n wild rose in the air eyeshadow palette. Wet n wild...
