I Heart Revolution Surprise Eggs - review !!

Image
Hello everyone, I really wanted to review the I Heart Revolution surprise eggs today, I was so excited to receive these. I love the concept of eye shadows and highlighters inside an egg. They would make amazing Easter presents for makeup lovers! I purchased the unicorn egg and the gold egg from Superdrug. They retail for £5 each, which i think is great value for money. The Unicorn Egg - This egg consists of 5 purple themed eye shadows. There is a light purple shimmery shade, a slightly darker purple which is a shimmer and another darker purple shimmer shadow. ( i know that is a terrible description, but i didn't know how else to put it!) There are two other shades, a bright purple shimmer (which is my favorite as the pigmentation is amazing) and a bright blue, which is great in pigmentation too! The 2 highlighters are a bit powdery, but they are gorgeous on the skin they are pigmented and can give a really intense glow when built up. The Gold Egg - This ...

Revolution conceal and define, is it worth the hype?!

Image
Hello everyone, Today I wanted to do a blog post on the concealer everyone is talking about and of course that is the Revolution conceal and define. This concealer has been everywhere and I mean EVERYWHERE! The reviews of this concealer have been amazing. People have said its a dupe for the Tarte shape tape, which is considerable more expensive; so with that being said I knew I had to try it out for myself. Positives -  - affordable  - amazing coverage  - easy application  - good longevity  - there are 18 shades!! Negatives - - difficult to get a hold of due to popular demand (this isn't even a bad thing it just means that, understandably this concealer is very popular!) - there is only 3.4ml of product which is pretty small for a concealer, However with the affordable price tag of £4 it isn't a lot to pay to get a new one and it still works out a lot cheaper ml for ml with higher end concealers. Overall, this concealer is proba...

Long term effects of scoliosis spinal fusion surgery

Image
Hello everyone, Today I wanted to talk to you all about some of the long term effects of having  spinal fusion surgery. So far I have had a really positive experience, however like any surgery there are often long term effects that occur post operation. I wanted to talk about these issues and address them in the hope that I can educate people who are awaiting scoliosis surgery and help spread awareness of the negative effects of this particular type of surgery I.e. fusion. In my experience, the positive  effects have strongly out weighed the negatives, but they are still issues I have to live with on a daily basis. 1) Numbness This is something I was aware of pre operation and I was told that I could potentially have numbness due to nerve damage after the operation, however I do believe that it is a small price to pay for a straight spine! The numbness is hard to adapt to but as most of the numbness is on my back it’s not something that effects me significantly, it...

My top 5 foundations

Image
Hello everyone,  Today I wanted to talk about my top 5 foundations. Before I start I just want to say that these foundations aren't going to be for everyone, I have normal to dry skin, so these are the foundations that work best for my skin type.  1) L'OrĂ©al True match in the shade - Golden Ivory I love this foundation, it is easily my favourite drugstore foundation on the market. The shade is perfect for my skin tone and with 28 shades I'm pretty sure you will be able to find your perfect match too! The formula is velvety and gives a flawless finish, it's easy to blend and has a medium yet buildable coverage. The foundation also has tones such as cool, neutral and warm making it even easier to match it to your skin tone. The foundation has a pump and it is only £9.99 You can purchase yours  here 2) Maybelline Dream Velvet in the shade -  True Ivory This is a really good everyday natural foundation, its coverage is buildable and easy to blend...

Makeup Haul - Febuary

Image
Hello everyone, Today I wanted to talk to you all about the makeup I've purchased this month. I recently did an order on Superdrug and I thought I would show you all what I got and also include a mini review as I have used all these products at least once now. MUA eyeshadow palette in rusted wonders - I thought this palette  looked really nice online so, as it was only £3.50! I purchased it. I wasn’t expecting too much to be honest, however I was pleasantly surprised the pigmentation and formulation of these shadows is amazing I really like this palette. I have worn it a lot recently and it’s a very versatile palette you can create some lovely subtle day time looks and some dramatic or glam evening looks and for the incredible price point I really cannot fault it! Rimmel super lash curler mascara - Honestly, I wasn’t wowed by this mascara, it was average it did the job but it isn’t the best mascara ive tried. There are so many others that  are much better and of a ...

Ferne McCann New Fragrence and Beauty Range!!

Image
Hello everyone, I am a fan of Ferne McCann so when I heard that she was releasing a beauty range and that it was in collaboration with Pound land, I knew I had to pick some bits up and review them for you guys. First I picked up the 3 body sprays in the range, Sweet Sorrento, Capri and Blush Oud. I later purchased the body washes in the scents Capri and Blush oud, I'm pretty sure they don't do Sweet Sorrento in a body wash which is a shame to be honest. The packaging and the quality of these products is amazing considering their price point. The packaging is simple yet effective and chic. It certainly doesn't look like a £1 range! The scents are gorgeous. Capri is the signature scent of the range and I can understand why, it's a very versatile scent and I personally think it would suit lots of people. As of yet, I don't have a favourite I love all of them. Blush Oud -  I think this is the more girly scent out of the range its a very elegant and classy...
