Benefit Hoola Dupe?!

Hello everyone,

I'm really excited about this blog post. I found an amazing dupe for one of my favourite high end bronzer on the market. Today I am going to be talking about the Hoola bronzer by Benefit and the Honolulu bronzer from W7. I wanted to do a side by side comparison and talk about the similarities and differences between the two bronzers.

I tried both of these bronzers out, I put the Hoola bronzer on one side of my face and the Honolulu dupe on the other side. They performed very similar on application. However, I found the Honolulu to be more pigmented and slightly more warm toned than Hoola. Due to the Honolulu's pigmentation, it consequently took longer to blend out. In contrast the Hoola bronzer needs more building up for pigmentation which can be a good thing, but this is entirely down to personal preference on how pigmented you want your bronzer to be.

The price point of both these powders is dramatically different. The Hoola bronzer retails for £25.50, whilst the Honolulu bronzer by W7 only retails for £2.99. The Hoola bronzer by Benefit is 8 times more expensive. The quality and performance between the two bronzers is remarkably similar, considering the price difference.

In the Hoola bronzer you get 8.0g of product and you get 6.0g of product in the W7 Honolulu bronzer. For only 2g more product you would have to pay £22.49!!

I am a huge fan of the Hoola bronzer, and there's no doubt that the product is of high quality, but it just goes to show that there are dupes which perform very similar for only a small fraction of the price!

The Honolulu bronzer looks a much more darker shade in the pan. However, when applied the two shades are very comparable. When I wore both of these bronzers on either side of my face I honestly couldn’t tell a difference.

The W7 Honolulu bronzer is a great dupe for the Benefit Hoola. It performs almost identically and it looks exactly the same on the skin. For only £2.99 I would recommend picking this bronzer up before you purchase the Hoola see if you like it and you might save your self £22.50!!

I still absolutely love my Hoola bronzer, so it just down to personal preference and how much your willing to spend on a bronzer. Both options are really good and have quickly become favourites of mine.
