10 days in Somerset

Image
Hello everyone, I recently got back from spending 10 days in Somerset and I thought I would document my travels by doing another picture post. Whilst I was in Somerset my family and I travelled and visited a lot of places. I took some photos and I thought it would be a good idea to share them with you guys for anyone who hasn’t visited Somerset or for anyone who is thinking of making the trip! Benefit Hoola Dupe?!

Image
Hello everyone, I'm really excited about this blog post. I found an amazing dupe for one of my favourite high end bronzer on the market. Today I am going to be talking about the Hoola bronzer by Benefit and the Honolulu bronzer from W7. I wanted to do a side by side comparison and talk about the similarities and differences between the two bronzers. I tried both of these bronzers out, I put the Hoola bronzer on one side of my face and the Honolulu dupe on the other side. They performed very similar on application. However, I found the Honolulu to be more pigmented and slightly more warm toned than Hoola. Due to the Honolulu's pigmentation, it consequently took longer to blend out. In contrast the Hoola bronzer needs more building up for pigmentation which can be a good thing, but this is entirely down to personal preference on how pigmented you want your bronzer to be.  The price point of both these powders is dramatically different. The Hoola bronzer retails f

Beauty products I’m trying out - thoughts and opinions so far!

Hello everyone, Today I wanted to talk to you all about some of the new products I have in my collection which I am trying out. I wanted to try them out and let you all know my thoughts and opinions and whether or not they are worth the money. Too Faced born this way concealer - I really wanted to try out a new high end concealer, I knew I liked Too Faced products so I thought I would try out their concealer. I had heard a lot of good things about this concealer, but I didn’t think it would be much different from my Revolution conceal and define. However, I was pleasantly surprised. This concealer feels light weight on the skin and blends seamlessly into the skin. I didn’t think  a high end concealer would be worth it in comparison to some of the amazing ones now on offer at the drugstore, but this is a concealer I would repurchase and I think it was definitely worth the money.  Revolution fast base foundation stick - I love how quick and easy foundation sticks are,

Scolioisis spinal fusion surgery: what is it really like?

Image
Hello everyone, I talk a lot about scoliosis surgery and recovery here on my blog, but I sometimes forget that not everyone is aware what the surgery entails. So, with that in mind I wanted to talk about what a spinal fusion is and what the process of spinal fusion involves. Spinal fusion surgery entails …. - A surgeon dissects 5 layers of spinal muscles, surrounding ligaments and tendons, and the spine's entire posterior joint system. - 3 inch screws and hooks are inserted on both sides of the spine on all required levels. - Solid metal rods are run through the hooks on both sides of the spine along the entire length of the curve. A spinal fusion surgery is designed to stop the motion at a painful vertebral segment, which in turn should decrease pain generated from the joint. There are many approaches to lumbar spinal fusion surgery, and all involve the following process:  - Adding bone graft to a segment of the spine. - Set up a biological response that causes t
