Carmi X Revolution Kiss of Fire eyeshadow palette - review

I wanted to review Carmi Mua's recent collaboration palette with Revolution. The palette is called Kiss of Fire and it retails for £10. You can find Carmi's palette on Revolution's website or Superdrug online or in store. The palette contains 8 eyeshadows and 2 highlighters. Carmi's palette is very colourful and it definitely will add a little fire to your collection.



I really like Carmi's palette as it enables me to be more adventurous with my makeup and it adds a pop of colour to my makeup look.


Bibi - orange matte
Yellow Heart - yellow matte
Valeria - light pink with gold shift shimmer
Kiss of Fire - maroon matte
Game on - black matte
My fair lady - light pink with white shift shimmer
#UWELCOME - magenta matte
Morning call - violet matte
XXIII- burgundy metallic
Dominion - teal metallic
Flash me! - river green with a white shift (highlighter)
Opulence - bronze gold (highlighter)


The eyeshadows and highlighters in this palette are very pigmented and they blend seamlessly. The highlighter Flash me!, didn't look like a colour I would use on first impressions. However, due to its white shift the highlighter is a lot more wearable and the green isn't too obvious.

My favourite colours in this palette would have to be, Bibi, Yellow heart, Kiss of fire and Morning call. The metallic shades are very different and look gorgeous on the eyes. The mattes are very pigmented and blend seamlessly on the eyes.




Overall, I really like this palette. It is bold and unique. The colour selection is really nice and there are so many different options to create stunning looks. The only issue I've had with this palette is the fact that you cannot use it on it's own you have to use it with another palette in order to have a transition shade to tie the bold colours together.
I love that Carmi decided to include both highlighters and eyeshadows in this palette. Therefore, making it much more functional and practical.

This palette is a staple for those who are new to colour, as it is affordable and offers great quality pigmentation and blend -ability.

Testing Barry M!

Hello everyone, It was recently my birthday and I received some Barry M products. I have tried a few things from Barry M before, but it was a long time ago. So I thought I would do a review on the products I received to refresh my own memory and to see if Barry M is any good.
